Frequently Asked Questions
The free 15-minute discovery call helps us quickly identify your biggest sleep challenges.
Do I need a discovery call to work with you?
No — but it’s recommended if you’re unsure which package fits best. The free 15-minute discovery call helps us quickly identify your biggest sleep challenges and the best next step.
What ages do you work with?
The Rested Family supports families from newborn through early childhood.
How quickly can we get started?
Once the intake paperwork and payment are complete, most families receive their plan within 24–72 hours. (Timing can vary slightly depending on schedule and package.)
What do you need from me before we begin?
You’ll complete a sleep intake questionnaire so I can understand your child’s current schedule, routines, environment, and your goals. The more accurate the information, the more tailored your plan will be.
Do you use cry-it-out methods?
No. The Rested Family uses a gentle, responsive approach and does not use extinction-based (“cry it out”) methods. Your plan will be designed to fit your comfort level, your child’s temperament, and your parenting values.
What does “gentle sleep coaching” mean?
Gentle sleep coaching focuses on routines, schedule alignment, environment, and consistent response strategies that support independent sleep skills without leaving a child to cry alone for extended periods. You’ll have a clear plan and support as you implement it.
Will my child cry at all?
Sometimes children protest change, and some crying can be normal when a new skill is learned. The goal is to respond in a way that feels supportive and consistent while building new habits. Your plan will include a response strategy you’re comfortable with.
Is this attachment-friendly?
Many families choose The Rested Family because they want a responsive approach that feels aligned with their relationship and values. We’ll build a plan that supports your child’s needs while helping your family get more rest.
Which package should I choose?
It depends on your child’s age, the severity of the sleep challenges, and how much support you want during implementation. If you’re unsure, book a free discovery call, and we’ll pick the best fit.
How do you provide support during the package?
Support is primarily via messaging and email (based on package). You’ll have a plan and a clear response strategy, so you’re not left guessing.
Do you offer weekend support?
Weekend support is available depending on the package level. Your expectations and support window will be clear before you begin.
Can my partner or caregiver be involved?
Yes — and it’s encouraged. Consistency across caregivers is one of the biggest success factors. Partners/caregivers are welcome on calls and should review the plan.
